GDG Bogor (Google Developer Group Bogor) is an independent, volunteer-led community of developers, designers, and technology enthusiasts based in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. We organise events, workshops, and programs including DevFest, JuaraGCP, and Road to DevFest.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, GDG Bogor acts as the data controller for personal information collected directly through our website at gdgbogor.com. Where data is collected by third-party platforms on our behalf (such as event ticketing), those platforms serve as independent data processors.
GDG Bogor is an independent community group and is not an official Google LLC product or service. The "Google Developer Groups" name and associated branding are trademarks of Google LLC, used with permission under the GDG program.

Information You Provide Directly
- Registration data — full name, email address, phone number, institution or employer, when signing up for events via our ticketing platform.
- Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message content when you reach out to us.
- Feedback and surveys — responses to post-event feedback forms and surveys.
- Community platform profiles — usernames and profile information when you join our Discord server or other community channels.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referring URLs, and navigation patterns collected via Google Analytics.
- Device & browser information — IP address (anonymized), browser type and version, operating system, and screen resolution.
- Cookies & local storage — small data files placed on your device to improve your browsing experience. See Section 5 for details.
Event-Specific Information
- Google Cloud Skills Boost progress — badge completion data shared by participants for JuaraGCP leaderboard and reward qualification purposes.
- Attendance records — check-in data at physical events for safety and capacity management.
- Photos and recordings — images or video taken at events for documentation and promotional use (see Section 3).

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our website and community programs. Each service may collect data independently under their own privacy policies.
Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and user behavior. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects anonymized IP addresses. Data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
Firebase (Google)
Firebase Storage is used to host images and media assets (logos, event photos, tier reward graphics). Firebase is a Google product and operates under Google's Terms of Service. No personal user data is stored in Firebase by GDG Bogor directly.
Pretix / Gultix
Our self-hosted ticketing system at gultix.gdgbogor.com (powered by Pretix) processes event registration data including your name, email, and any additional fields required for specific events. This data is used solely for event management purposes.
Discord
Our Discord server is a separate platform operated by Discord Inc. When you join our Discord community, your data (username, messages, activity) is governed exclusively by Discord's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. GDG Bogor does not control or own the data stored by Discord.

GDG Bogor does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.
We may share your information only in these limited cases:

Service Providers
With trusted third-party service providers (listed in Section 4) who assist us in operating our website and managing events, under strict data processing agreements.

Google LLC (GDG Program)
Aggregate, anonymized event statistics may be shared with Google as part of our participation in the Google Developer Groups program. This does not include personally identifiable information.

Public Leaderboards
For programs like JuaraGCP, your name and badge count may be displayed publicly on a leaderboard. Participation in such programs constitutes consent to this display.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Event Registration Data
Retained for up to 2 years after the event for record-keeping, reward fulfillment, and follow-up programs.
Analytics Data
Anonymized Google Analytics data is retained for up to 26 months as per Google Analytics' default retention policy.
Contact Inquiries
Correspondence is retained for up to 1 year for reference and continuity of service.
Leaderboard Records
Public leaderboard entries may be archived indefinitely as part of community history unless deletion is requested.

Individuals between the ages of 13 and 17 may participate in GDG Bogor events with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who assumes responsibility for the minor's participation and data.
